Stellar-7
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Tämä peli on taas yksi Atarin Battlezonen klooni. Tarkoitus on aivan sama, mutta vihollisten aseistus on muuttunut. Battlezonen vanhojen tykkien sijasta löytyy tästä pelistä lentokoneita, lasereita ja ydinvoimalla toimivia panssarivaunuja. Tarkoituksena on pelastaa maapallo ulkoavaruudesta tulleiden vihollisten hyökkäykseltä. Pelaajan on tuhottava vihollisen tankkeja monilta eri aurinkokuntamme planeetoilta.
1987This game is yet another clone of Atari's Battlezone. The objective is exactly the same, but the enemies' weaponry has changed. Instead of Battlezone's old cannons, this game has aircraft, lasers and nuclear-powered tanks. The aim is to save the Earth from an attack by enemies from outer space. The player has to destroy enemy tanks on many different planets of our solar system. He moves on from one planet to the next once he has destroyed enough of them.
The game's sound effects are pitiful, but then you couldn't really make better ones for a combat game anyway. The graphics, on the other hand, beat good old Battlezone hands down. You won't find tanks and other vehicles moving this fast and smoothly in any other game.
Stellar 7 is extremely versatile, but interest fades quickly because of the "kill or be killed" idea. The game is a looker, but in the long run it's a long bore.
