Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

On vuosi 1939. Hitlerin sukellusveneet hätyyttelevät laivasaattueita aivan Yhdysvaltain rannikon tuntumassa. Sukellusveneiden jahtaamisessa kokemattomat sotalaivat seuraavat turhautuneena leimuavien rahtilaivojen lieskoja auringonlaskua vasten. Susilauma on jälleen kerran tehnyt menestyksekkään iskun amerikkalaissaattuetta vastaan.
WolfPackissa on pelaajalla ensimmäistä kertaa mahdollisuus kokea merisodankäynnin jännitys metsästäjän tai saaliin näkökulmasta. Voit yrittää vältellä saksalaisten torpedoja kuljetuslaivan ruorissa, puolustaa rahtilaivoja sota-aluksen ohjaimissa tai palvella isänmaatasi Susilauman sukellusveneiden komentajana. Peliä voi pelata suorana toimintapelinä, verkkaisena strategiapelinä tai näiden kahden sekoituksena. Siis jotain jokaiselle.
PC:n 256-värinen VGA-grafiikka toimii erinomaisesti, ja vaikka äänitehosteet ja musiikki eivät olekaan huippuluokkaa, on pelin tunnelma käsinkosketeltavissa.
Hiiri-, joystick- ja näppäinohjaukset toimivat kaikki moitteettomasti, eikä valittamista taida löytyä hakemallakaan.
WolfPack on realistisuudessaan niin syvälle menevä peli, että sitä on normaalin peliarvostelun puitteissa turha yrittää analysoida tarkemmin. Kiteytetään nyt vaikka niin, että märän elementin sotimisesta kiinnostuneiden ei tarvitse muuta kuin vilkaista pisteitä ja käydä ostamassa peli. Se siitä.

The year is 1939. Hitler's U-boats are harassing convoys right off the coast of the United States. Warships with no experience of hunting submarines watch in frustration as the flames of blazing freighters leap against the sunset. The Wolf Pack has once again struck successfully against an American convoy.
In WolfPack the player gets, for the first time, the chance to experience the thrill of naval warfare from the point of view of either the hunter or the prey. You can try to dodge German torpedoes at the helm of a transport ship, defend the freighters at the controls of a warship, or serve your fatherland as commander of the Wolf Pack's U-boats. The game can be played as a straight action game, as a leisurely strategy game or as a mix of the two. Something for everyone, then.
The PC's 256-colour VGA graphics work superbly, and although the sound effects and music aren't top-class, the game's atmosphere is palpable.
Mouse, joystick and keyboard controls all work flawlessly, and you'd be hard pressed to find anything to complain about even if you went looking.
WolfPack goes so deep in its realism that there's no point trying to analyse it in any more detail within the confines of a normal game review. Let's just boil it down like this: anyone interested in warfare on the wet element need do nothing more than glance at the scores and go and buy the game. Enough said.
