Sly Spy - Secret Agent
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

Siksi omituisia yrityksiä on tullut nähtyä.
Normaalisti korkeatasoiselta käännösvääntäjältä Oceanilta Sly Spy on täysi välityö.
1991 KevätWhen a computer game company signs a licensing deal with an arcade manufacturer, it apparently commits to converting other games besides the best ones. That's why we've been treated to some odd efforts. Sly Spy is one of them: there is simply nothing new in it.
More than a little Bond-ish, SS-SA consists of 9 levels. In the parachute jump you shoot at a huge flock of other jumpers, then comes a long series of horizontally scrolling sections where you advance sometimes on foot, sometimes in some vehicle.
Once again it puts me in a black mood. All the game sections repeat the same formula regardless of scroll direction or graphics. "Ingenious" programming makes sure that with Mr Sylvester "Sly" Spy's stiff movements you can't survive, for example, two grenade throwers letting rip at the same time as the gunmen.
Software Creations does a fine job of emulating Tiertex, producing slow, stiff, vertically stretched graphics with a weird palette. From Ocean, normally a high-class conversion cranker, Sly Spy is a total filler job.
