E-Swat
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

Peli muistuttaa epäilyttävästi idealtaan vastaavaa Oceanin Narcia.
1991 KevätThe lot of the policeman of the future is not a particularly enviable one. Criminals - often addled by radiation to boot - are everywhere, and their favourite targets are the ordinary uniformed police officers patrolling the streets. That is why the elite police unit ESWAT was founded, which is a bunch of cops fitted out with the instincts of a psychopath and the reflexes of a cobra.
Frosted with cybernetics, the ESWAT squad is, in other words, every boy's very own Robocop army. With the help of an armoured suit and a high-powered gun they are now supposed to clean the criminals off the streets. And they take no prisoners. The game is suspiciously reminiscent of Ocean's Narc, which has much the same idea. In playability and sound, though, the C-64 ESWAT beats Narc, even if the differences aren't huge. ESWAT's animation, colours and backgrounds are more polished. As a bonus, ESWAT has not only a two-player mode but also the chance to vent your rage on nasty skateboarders, so in a head-to-head comparison ESWAT draws the longer straw.
The Amiga ESWAT is unfortunately no masterpiece of programming skill. The colours are oddly washed out, and the sprite design is nothing to brag about. The animation has apparently been designed on the principle of 'less is best', which really doesn't hold true in games. Luckily the cyber-policeman obeys the joystick after a fashion. The extra ammo has been placed in such screwy spots that as a rule I didn't manage to pick it up.
ESWAT is quite fun as a pastime, no more and no less. Although we really have seen too many of these advance-and-shoot and thrash-the-boss games already.
