Off Shore Warrior
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1989 KevätTitus on vaihtanut ajokkia autosta turbotuuppariin, jolla pasifistit purkavat aggressioitaan tulevaisuuden maisemissa. Suurilla järvillä järjestetään vuosittain kilpailut, joihin pelaaja ottaa osaa ohjaamalla kokonaisuudessaan takaapäin kuvattua venettä radalla, jota reunustavat karikot ja päälle tunkevat kilpailijat. Veneissä on jokunen raketti, joita voi käyttää itseään parempien ajajien takaapäin napsimiseen.
Grafiikka on erinomaista, ei mitenkään häikäisevää, mutta ammattitaidolla tehtyä. Äänipuolikin pelaa yhteen pelin luonteen kanssa, joten teknisenä suorituksena liikutaan hyvän pelin rajoilla. Kokoelmien kartuttajaksi Off Shore Warriorin nostaa Suomen esiintyminen pelissä ja veneilypelien harvalukuisuus. Joskus pienet pärinät pitkin Suomenlahtea piristävät kummasti.
Tosi hyvää moottoriveneilypeliä ei vain ole näkynyt, joten siinä voisi olla sauma nopealle koodin vääntäjälle. Itseasiassa erilaisista autopeleistä voisi valmistaa veneilyversiot. Kauppa kävis kuin naapurin katiskalla.
1989 KevätTitus has swapped its ride from a car to a turbo speedboat, on which pacifists work off their aggressions in the landscapes of the future. Every year races are held on the great lakes, and the player takes part by steering a boat, seen in its entirety from behind, along a course lined with reefs and competitors crowding in on you. The boats carry the odd rocket, which can be used for picking off drivers better than yourself from behind.
The graphics are excellent - not in any way dazzling, but made with professional skill. The sound side, too, plays along with the character of the game, so as a technical achievement we're on the borders of a good game. What raises Off Shore Warrior to collection-worthy status is Finland's appearance in the game and the scarcity of boating games. Now and then a quick blast along the Gulf of Finland does wonders for the spirits.
A really good powerboat game just hasn't turned up, so there could be an opening there for a speedy code-cruncher. In fact, boating versions could be made of all sorts of car games. Trade would be as brisk as at the neighbour's fish trap.
