Task III
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1988Vuonna 6038 paha keisari valloitti Cybernetican rauhaisan galaksin tuhoisan sodan jälkeen. Prinssi Troma (pelaaja) ainoana sodasta henkiinjääneenä on galaksin viimeinen toivo päästä julmurityrannin ikeestä.
Vahinko, että idealtaan tuote on selvä kopio Stavros 'The Game Coding Finn' Fasoulaksen arcadetasoisesta Deltasta.
1988In the year 6038 an evil emperor conquered the peaceful galaxy of Cybernetica after a devastating war. Prince Troma (the player), as the sole survivor of the war, is the galaxy's last hope of escaping the yoke of the brutal tyrant. The prince jumps into his ship and sets off on a desperate journey to battle against the emperor's might.
Even the slower among us have got it by now: this is yet another new shoot'em-up. Those thoroughly fed up with the genre can move on to the next review, but those of you who now and then feel an itch in your trigger finger, do hang on and read to the end. Because this is no two-bit job.
Task III is a blaster made by German hands, and the Teutons certainly have technical know-how to spare. Pity that, as an idea, the product is a blatant copy of Stavros 'The Game Coding Finn' Fasoulas's arcade-quality Delta.
In Task III you fly through nicely drawn scenery in a nimble little space glider, shooting the baddies to bits and picking up extra features from icons. Unlike its models, it scrolls only vertically, though every bit as smoothly. In the background drifts the familiar three-dimensional star field, and the structures dangling in the void of space have a commendably original look to them.
The colours are splendid and the sound chip gets a good thrashing with fine results. Praise is also due for the high score table that saves to disk, with its visually slick name-entry screen, and for the well-made logo on the title screen.
All in all, Task III is as close to coin-op level as it's possible to get on the Commodore 64. This game is for those who are looking for a proper blaster but would rather not buy Finnish. The fourth star was knocked off by one observation alone: 'we've seen this before - many times over'.
