Bermuda Project
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1988A newspaperman's easygoing life takes a turn when the top boss orders the newshound to investigate strange disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. As usual, things start going wrong right at the start, when the plane belly-flops down in the middle of the Triangle. What to do? Nothing for it but to shoulder the backpack and set off on foot.
There's plenty of ground to explore: after playing Bermuda Project for an hour I still hadn't found anything except a native village, which there was no way of even getting into. Extra detours are also added to the trip by annoying rivers that you can't even jump across, no matter how narrow they are.
Rumour has it that Bermuda Project was nearly two years in the programming. If that's true, most of the time must have gone into drawing the enormous island area. After a couple of hours of play I gave up, because nothing was happening. Whether I was walking in circles without realising it, I don't know and can't be bothered to care. The graphics work and so does the playability, even if the mouse control feels odd at first, but when the sound side consists mainly of the rush of the sea and wandering around the island feels pointless without a map or landmarks, your interest in the disappeared soon disappears too.
