Turboat
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Tehtävänäsi on ohjata venettä pitkin virtaa. Ensimmäisessä ruudussa kaasutat tulitusnapilla ja ammut vihollisaluksia rightGRPH-näppäimellä. Lisäpisteitä saat tuhoamalla rannalla olevia tukikohtia.
Toisessa ruudussa taistelet lentokoneita vastaan koettaen samalla kerätä tarpeeksi polttoainetta.
Kolmas ruutu on jälleen kuten ensimmäinen, paitsi että nyt sinun on pommien ampumisen sijasta väisteltävä niitä.
Aluksi peli tuntuu melko vaikealta, mutta kunhan siihen tottuu, alkaa veneily sujua. Grafiikaltaan peli ei ole aivan huipputasoa, mutta silti aivan kiinnostava lisä SVI:n valikoimiin.
1987Your task is to steer a boat along a river. On the first screen you accelerate with the fire button and shoot enemy vessels with the right GRPH key. You get extra points for destroying bases on the shore.
On the second screen you fight against aircraft while trying to collect enough fuel at the same time.
The third screen is like the first one again, except that now, instead of shooting bombs, you have to dodge them.
At first the game feels fairly difficult, but once you get used to it, the boating starts to go smoothly. Graphically the game isn't quite top class, but it's still quite an interesting addition to the SVI range.
