Temple Of Terror
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

Poikkeuksena tietysti Rainbirdin The Pawn ja The Guild Of Thieves. Adventuresoftin Temple Of Terror ei lisää tekijöitään Infocomin kuolemattomien ohjelmoijien joukkoon.
1987British graphic text adventures are usually bone dry and disproportionately difficult to boot. The exceptions, of course, are Rainbird's The Pawn and The Guild Of Thieves. Adventuresoft's Temple Of Terror won't be adding its authors to the ranks of Infocom's immortal programmers. The graphics are mediocre, but the parser is dire. It seems to understand 20 words at most, and refuses to obey even simple commands.
Anyway, the young evil sorcerer Malbordus is about to reach the peak of their powers. Malbordus needs five dragon statues, which are hidden in the city of Vatos. Vatos just happens to be lost somewhere in the Desert of Skulls. If Malbordus gets to the statues before the player does, something terrible is going to happen. What, the instructions don't say.
The whole game is extremely unplayable and repellent to look at. The plot is based on some book or other, for which we're grateful. Hopefully that will rescue an otherwise utterly wretched cobbled-together effort that even Keith Campbell simply can't find a good word for.
