Horror Zombies from The Crypt
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1991 KevätBrain-destroying living corpses are on the march! No, it isn't Pulttibois, but an army of mortal husks raised from the dead by the forces of evil, and it threatens Count Valdemar's beautiful mansion. So the Count thunders his way through six levels on the principle of 'jump, collect and shoot and the game cracks open'.
On each level the Count collects the required number of skulls, two types of key, an extra weapon and a few extra abilities, while fighting the stock characters of horror films. The subject matter is promising, but once again nobody has dared to draw anything from the world of horror beyond mild and surface seasonings. The game has been stylishly squeezed into the frame of a 50s B-movie, but the end result won't give even the littlest ones in the family so much as a baby nightmare.
The graphics in the test version are presumably the final version, and quite stylish they are too, though the comical monsters could have been swapped for slightly fiercer ones. Plentiful sampled effects liven the game up.
What annoyed me most was HZFTC sinking into the pixel-perfect category in places, as well as the difficulty, which is generally tuned for the quick-reflexed. Good, but a run-of-the-mill action adventure.
