1987Tutut agentit "Musta" ja "Valkoinen" jatkavat kesken jäänyttä tappeluaan autiolla viidakkosaarella. Agenttien päämääränä on rakentaa pommi ja lähteä sukellusveneellä pois saarelta. Hävinnyt osapuoli jää saarelle ja räjähtää.
Autiosaarella on keppejä, joilla riitapukarit voivat taistella.
Peli on tehty todella hyvin alusta loppuun.
1987The familiar agents "Black" and "White" carry on their unfinished fight on a deserted jungle island. The agents' aim is to build a bomb and leave the island by submarine. The loser is left behind on the island and blows up.
The desert island has sticks the squabblers can fight with. If need be, you can grab a rope and climb a tree. You can even play with the bomb. You have to be careful with it, though, since you might blow yourself up while you're at it. There's also a map to help you, which comes in very handy for a lost agent. When swimming, it's best not to carry anything more than the bomb.
Each agent has an energy meter of their own, shown at the bottom of the screen. Swimming and fighting use up energy. If the meter is nearing the red, don't waste any energy, because you die if it runs out. Your colleague can then admire your grave and get on with things in peace.
Spy vs. Spy II can feel really confusing at first. The controls are on the tricky side, because you have to jiggle the joystick about in vague situations, but luckily you get used to it quickly. The early fights at least can leave the player baffled. The game also includes a couple of little tricks, such as climbing trees.
The game is really well made from start to finish. The graphics and colours are among the best ever seen in Commodore 64 games. The game is largely the same as its predecessor, although the colours and sounds have improved. The music also closely resembles its predecessor's tune.
The game can be played either solo or by two players at the same time.
