Spy Hunter

Pelin musiikki on niukkaa.

Spy Hunter on hyvä valinta räiskintäpeleistä pitäville. Varttuneemmat pelaajat voivat unohtaa Spy Hunterin.

1987The idea of Spy Hunter is very simple: you have to drive a car or a boat as far as possible. You manage this with the help of the weaponry on board the car. Spy Hunter's car comes with machine guns as standard. By driving into the weapons van you can get missiles and oil, which you can release onto the road. You can even let off smoke clouds in front of the enemies. In addition, Spy Hunter can fight back by shoving enemies onto the shore or off the road. Now and then Spy Hunter comes up against broken bridges, and the road can suddenly split down the middle into two. Some of Spy Hunter's enemies push Spy Hunter off the road, and some shoot or drop mines into the water. At a later stage helicopters and torpedo boats turn up as well.

Spy Hunter's colour choices haven't hit the mark in every respect, but the cars and boats are quite colourful enough.

The game's music is sparse. Spy Hunter's sound effects are sparse too.

What kills interest in the game is its sameness and the repetitive scenery. Playing is made awkward by the need for two fire buttons. You either have to connect two joysticks the way the instructions tell you, or put the second joystick on the floor and work its button with your foot.

Spy Hunter is a good choice for those who like shoot-'em-ups. More seasoned players can forget about Spy Hunter.
