Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. 1987Rock'n Wrestle on 3-ulotteinen hakkaa-potki-murjo-tyyppinen peli. Tällä kertaa lajina on amerikkalainen vapaapaini, jossa on käytettävänä kaikkiaan 28 erilaista heittoa, lyöntiä, vääntöä ja ruhjomista murskaavien ääniefektien kera.
Ohjelman latauduttua alkaa demo, jossa esitellään mahtavimmat liikkeet railakkaan musiikin soidessa.
Jos valitset yksinpelin, olet vaaleahiuksinen Gorgeous Greg. Sinulla on yhdeksän vastustajaa estämässä sinua pääsemästä maailmanmestariksi. Tietokone on aika kova vastustaja, joten kaikkia miehiä ei ole hetkessä voitettu. Myös kaksinpeli on mahdollista.
Peliaikaa on viisi minuuttia, jolloin paremman pistemäärän saanut voittaa, tai jos saat vastustajasi sidottua kaksi kertaa allesi, olet voittaja. Sitomisessa tietokone laskee todella epäselvällä äänellä lukua kolmeen asti.
Pelissä voit mm. pyörittää vastustajaasi pään päällä, paiskata sen jälkeen maahan, heittää kokonelsonin, iskeä päällä, potkia, lyödä, rutistaa ja jopa kiivetä reunatolpan päälle ja hypätä sieltä maha edellä alas yms. muuta hauskaa.
Mukava pikkulisäys on välillä pimeästä katsomosta välähtävä salamavalo. Rock'n Wrestle on hyvä peli varsinkin, jos sattuu pitämään sen todella suositusta edeltäjästä, The Way of the Exploding Fististä.
1987Rock'n Wrestle is a 3-D beat-kick-pummel type of game. This time the sport is American pro wrestling, with a total of 28 different throws, punches, holds and maulings at your disposal, complete with crushing sound effects.
Once the program has loaded, a demo starts, showing off the most spectacular moves to the sound of rollicking music.
If you choose one-player mode, you are the blond Gorgeous Greg. You have nine opponents standing between you and the world championship. The computer is a pretty tough opponent, so you won't beat all the men in a hurry. A two-player game is also possible.
A bout lasts five minutes, after which whoever has the better score wins, or if you manage to pin your opponent under you twice, you are the winner. During a pin the computer counts up to three in a really garbled voice.
In the game you can, among other things, spin your opponent above your head and then slam him to the mat, put on a full nelson, headbutt, kick, punch, squeeze and even climb onto a corner post and dive off it belly first, and other such fun.
A nice little extra is the camera flash that goes off now and then in the dark stands. Rock'n Wrestle is a good game, especially if you happen to like its hugely popular predecessor, The Way of the Exploding Fist.
