1987Viimeinkin markkinoille on saapunut kunnollinen kuvaseikkailu Spectravideolle. Tässä uutuuspelissä otteet eivät tuhoa elävää eivätkä elotonta, vaan tavoitteena on etsiä satumainen aarre. Vaarallinen sokkelo outoine hirviöineen saattaa kuitenkin tuottaa suuria vaikeuksia aarteenetsijöille.
Pelissä voidaan vaeltaa ruudusta toiseen aivan kuin muissakin kunnon seikkailupeleissä. Olet keppi kourassa aarretta etsivä kaivosmies, jonka on varottava alituisesti vaanivia hirviöitä, tauteja, hapen, ruoan ja veden puutetta, jotka saattavat millä hetkellä tahansa vaatia julman veronsa.
Pelin mukana tulevaan lyhykäiseen käyttöohjeeseen olisi voinut kiinnittää enemmän huomiota, sillä olisi ollut suotavaa mainita käyttöohjeessa, että mukana olevat kamat ym. voidaan tulostaa painamalla Fl.
Hyvä idea oli, suurten ohjelmatalojen mallin mukaan, laittaa kasetille versio kahdelle eri konetyypille. Värit ovat kohtuulliset, samoin grafiikka ottaen huomioon paikkojen lukumäärän. Hahmojen liikkuvuudessa olisi parantamisen varaa, sillä nykivä liike ja jäykähkö ohjaus tekevät pelistä vaikeahkon hallita. Arvoituksena peli on aivan kelvollinen, eikä ratkea parista pelikerrasta. Pelin alkuperästä kiinnostuneille mainittakoon kustantajan olevan Teknopiste Oy, tekijän Jari Paulin ja peli on tietenkin kotimainen.
1987At last a proper graphic adventure for the Spectravideo has arrived on the market. In this new game your moves destroy nothing living or lifeless; instead the aim is to search for a fabulous treasure. The dangerous maze with its strange monsters may, however, cause treasure hunters big difficulties.
In the game you can wander from screen to screen, just like in any other proper adventure game. You are a treasure-hunting miner, stick in hand, who has to watch out for ever-lurking monsters, diseases, and a lack of oxygen, food and water, any of which may exact its cruel toll at any moment.
More attention could have been paid to the rather skimpy instructions that come with the game, as it would have been advisable to mention in them that the gear you're carrying and so on can be listed by pressing F1.
It was a good idea, following the example of the big software houses, to put versions for two different types of machine on the tape. The colours are reasonable, as are the graphics, considering the number of locations. The characters' movement leaves room for improvement, as the jerky motion and somewhat stiff controls make the game rather hard to handle. As a puzzle the game is perfectly decent and won't be cracked in a couple of sittings. For those interested in the game's origins, let it be mentioned that the publisher is Teknopiste Oy, the author is Jari Paulin, and the game is, naturally, home-grown Finnish.
