JumpMan

Tähän tehtävään on valittu JumpMan.

1987Enemies have invaded Jupiter and planted bombs in 30 different rooms. They can only be eliminated by going through all 30 rooms and collecting the bombs. JumpMan has been chosen for this mission. The player's task is to help JumpMan get past the enemy robots, dragons, flying men, bullets, flying saucers and other adversaries.

In the game you can choose your starting point, the difficulty level and the speed. There are five options for difficulty and eight for speed. After you've chosen the difficulty level, the computer asks for the number of players.

During the game, the computer always loads a new level from disk when the player reaches it. You can also choose RANDOMIZER as the difficulty level, in which case the next level is drawn at random from the 30 available. Otherwise the levels go in order from the chosen starting point. Once you've collected all the bombs on one level, you move on to the next one and the computer loads again. Luckily the loading time isn't long, otherwise you wouldn't have the patience to play the game.

JumpMan's graphics leave room for improvement; the sound effects suit the game. Then again, they could have been improved too. The choice of colours couldn't have been better. Interest in the game is boosted by the number of levels and by the fact that JumpMan saves the high scores to disk. The high score table is a good way to follow how your results are coming along.

JumpMan is also available in a cassette version.
