Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Toimit rekka-auton kuljettajana eri kaupungeissa. Tehtävänäsi on kuljettaa puuta, hiiltä, öljyä tai hedelmiä eri lastauspaikoista kaupungin päälastauspaikalle. Kuulostaa helpolta, mutta jo rekan ohjausta on harjoiteltava kohtalaisen paljon ennen kuin sen hallitsee.
Rekkoja on yhdessä pelissä vain yksi, mutta ei tehtävä silti mahdoton ole, koska kaupungeissa on useita huoltoasemia, joissa voi korjata tai tankata. Niissä kentissä, joissa on puhelin voi kysyä, missä on hiilenlastauspaikkoja tai missä on huoltoasemia ym. Kone osoittaa paikat vilkkuvina osoittimina kartalle. Kartan saa näkyviin kesken pelinkin, jolloin voi tarkistaa ajosuunnitelmansa.
Pelissä on myös harjoittelumahdollisuus risteysajoa, parkkeerausta yms. varten. Voit myös itse valita rekan perävaunun koon. Mitä isompi vaunu sen hankalampi sitä on ohjata, mutta isompaan vaunuun mahtuu enemmän tavaraa.
Auton huippunopeus on 40 mailia tunnissa, vaihteita on kaksi eteen ja yksi peruuttamiseen.
Pelin grafiikka ei ole mitenkään mahtavaa, mutta kuitenkin kiitettävän selvää. Väreistä on käytetty pääasiassa mustaa, vihreää ja keltaista. Musiikkiakaan ei ole eikä äänitehosteitakaan juuri, mutta kuitenkin peli tuntuu aika mukavalta ja sitä jaksaa pelata kauan. Ohjelman mukana saa pienehkön julisteen ja pienen ikkunatarran.
1987You work as a truck driver in various cities. Your job is to haul timber, coal, oil or fruit from various loading sites to the city's main depot. Sounds easy, but even just steering the truck takes a fair bit of practice before you've got the hang of it.
You only get one truck per game, but the task still isn't impossible, since the cities have several service stations where you can get repairs or fill up. On levels that have a telephone, you can ask where the coal loading sites are, or where the service stations are, and so on. The computer shows the locations as flashing markers on the map. You can call up the map even in the middle of the game, so you can check your route plan.
The game also has a practice option for driving through junctions, parking and so on. You can also choose the size of the truck's trailer yourself. The bigger the trailer, the harder it is to steer, but a bigger trailer holds more cargo.
The truck's top speed is 40 miles per hour, and there are two forward gears and one reverse.
The game's graphics are nothing spectacular, but they are commendably clear. The colours used are mainly black, green and yellow. There's no music, and hardly any sound effects either, but even so the game feels quite pleasant and you can happily keep playing it for a long time. The program comes with a smallish poster and a small window sticker.
