Fax
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Epyxin kustantama Fax edustaa harvaksi jäänyttä tietokilpailupelien joukkoa Commodore 64:lle. Faxin idea on vastata niin moneen kysymykseen kuin mahdollista mahdollisimman nopeasti.
Faxissa voi päästä eteenpäin myös naputtamalla yhtä nappulaa jatkuvasti, jolloin aika ei kulu ja oikea vastaus sattuu silloin tällöin kohdalle.
Fax sisältää kymmeniä aineita kuten elokuvat, televisio, rock'n' roll, taide, kirjallisuus, avaruusaika, suuret sodat, maailmanhistoria, antiikin historia, huumori, maailmanennätykset, tiede, maantiede, jalkapallo, pesäpallo, koripallo, tennis ja olympialaiset. Aiheet on jaettu historian, urheilun, viihteen ja muun tietouden osioihin. Fax sisältää yli 3700 kysymystä, jotka tulevat arvotussa järjestyksessä.
Faxin tekijät eivät ole paljoa panostaneet grafiikkaan, joten pelin viehätys perustuu kysymyksiin. Näihin sisältyy myös kysymys "Mikä on Valkoisen talon puhelinnumero?"
Kokonaisuutena Fax on kiinnostava ja kiinnostavuutta lisää kahden pelaajan yhtäaikainen pelimahdollisuus. Suomalaisten kiinnostusta voi laskea pelin käyttämä kieli, joka on tyypillisesti englanti.
1987Fax, published by Epyx, represents the rather thin ranks of quiz games for the Commodore 64. The idea of Fax is to answer as many questions as possible as quickly as possible.
In Fax you can also get ahead by tapping one button over and over, in which case no time is lost and every now and then the right answer happens to come up.
Fax contains dozens of subjects such as film, television, rock'n'roll, art, literature, the space age, the great wars, world history, ancient history, humour, world records, science, geography, football, baseball, basketball, tennis and the Olympics. The subjects are divided into sections for history, sport, entertainment and general knowledge. Fax contains over 3,700 questions, which come up in random order.
The makers of Fax haven't put much effort into the graphics, so the game's appeal rests on the questions. These also include the question "What is the White House's phone number?"
All in all Fax is interesting, and the interest is boosted by the option for two players to play at the same time. What may dampen Finns' interest is the language the game uses, which is, typically, English.
