Countdown to Meltdown

1987Suuressa ydinvoimalassa on tapahtunut räjähdys ja voimalan reaktori kuumenee. Pelaajan on ohjattava kahdeksasta androidista koostuva iskuryhmä reaktorin ytimeen ja painettava grafiittisauvat alas, jotta koko komeus ei sulattaisi oikopolkua Kiinaan.

Androidit on ohjattava voimalan kaikkien tasojen läpi.

Pelissä on hyvät apuruudut eikä pelin oppimiseen tarvitse edes ohjekirjasta. CtM tarjoaa mukavaa toimintaa pitkistä seikkailupeleistä pitäville.

1987There has been an explosion at a big nuclear power plant, and the plant's reactor is heating up. The player has to guide a strike team of eight androids to the reactor core and push the graphite rods down, so that the whole magnificent works doesn't melt itself a shortcut to China.

The androids have to be guided through every level of the plant. The reactor isn't found until the eighth level. Each level is divided into rooms, and you can change levels by lift, by matter transporter or by dropping through the floors of collapsed rooms. The rooms hold all sorts of practical stuff that's worth collecting and stashing away for later.

The graphics are neat, the pixels on the screen don't flicker and the music doesn't get on your nerves; there's no music in the game, you see. The other sound effects are non-existent too.

The game was fun to play. It has good help screens, and you don't even need the manual to learn the game. CtM offers pleasant action for those who like long adventure games.
