Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Huippusuositun Beach Headin kakkososa on täyttä tavaraa! Tavoitteena pelissä on vapauttaa julman diktaattorin vangit ja voittaa lopuksi tämä herra tiukassa kaksintaistelussa. Pelin mielenkiintoa lisää huomattavasti eri pelimahdollisuuksien määrä. Sitä voi pelata yksin joko liittoutuneiden tai diktaattorin roolissa, tai kaksin toisiaan vastaan. Pelissä on myös harjoittelumahdollisuus kaikkiin neljään eri vaiheeseen.
Pelin eri tilanteet muodostuvat laskuvarjojoukkojen hyökkäyksestä, vankien paosta, helikopterilennosta ja lopuksi kaksinkamppailusta synkän virran reunoilla.
Ohjeet peliin ovat hyvät, mutta englanninkieliset, tietysti. Kaikkia pikkujuttuja ei ehkä huomaa tai opi pelkällä pelaamisella, joten sikäli harmi tuo suomalaisten ohjeiden puute.
Grafiikaltaan peli on huippuluokkaa, pienet hahmot kipittävät lujaa ja lisäksi vielä karjaisevat kun diktaattorin joukkojen tulitus osuu heihin. Myös yksinvaltiaan karmea nauru on hienoa kuultavaa.
Pelin eri hahmojen ja ajoneuvojen ohjailu on helppoa ja pelattavuus on todella hyvä. Ainoa pieni miinus tulee joidenkin vaiheiden lievästä yksitoikkoisuudesta, jotain vaihtelua täytyisi olla. Mutta sota on sotaa ja sillai!
1987The sequel to the hugely popular Beach Head is the real deal! The aim of the game is to free the cruel dictator's prisoners and finally to beat the gentleman himself in a tight duel. The game's appeal is considerably boosted by the number of different ways to play. You can play it alone in the role of either the Allies or the dictator, or two players against each other. The game also has a practice option for all four stages.
The game's different scenes consist of a paratroop assault, the prisoners' escape, a helicopter flight and finally a duel on the banks of a gloomy river.
The instructions for the game are good, but in English, of course. You may not notice or learn all the little details just by playing, so in that respect the lack of Finnish instructions is a pity.
Graphically the game is top class: the little figures scurry along at a good clip and even let out a yell when fire from the dictator's troops hits them. The autocrat's ghastly laugh is also great to hear.
Controlling the game's various characters and vehicles is easy and the playability is really good. The only small minus comes from the slight monotony of some of the stages; there ought to be some variety. But war is war and all that!
