SWIV
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

Mukana on ykkösestä tuttu petokopteri. Maastoja on monia: lunta, aavikkoa, merta ja lentokenttää. Krediittien loputtua on sankarikaksikon taas aloitettava alusta.
Grafiikka on toteutettu pikkutarkasti, nättejä yksityiskohtia lisäten.
1991 SyksyLong and devoutly have Amigans suffering from fire-button cramp been able to play such classics as Xenon 2, MegaBlast and Silkworm. No new winner, or even a challenger, has come along for these games.
An odd name basking on the shopkeeper's shelf caught my attention. SWIV? After a moment's pondering the name began to take shape - SilkWorm IV. Four? Where are two and three? The back cover revealed the real name: Special Weapons Interdiction Vehicles.
The disk found its way into the drive, and thanks to the Unique Dynamic loading system the intro pop soon had the monitor's speakers vibrating. The same programmers as... a chopper and a jeep for vehicles... this really is Silkworm Two!
Silkworm's sideways scrolling routine has had to make way, but soon you don't even notice. The game plunges unceremoniously into action; there's no pointless explaining whose side we're on, what our goal is and whether we're doing it all in the name of justice and fairness.
The vertical scroll flows the terrain from top to bottom, and the players steer a helicopter (equality ombudsman: why not a tonycopter) and (or) a jeep. Slaughter fodder comes crawling, flying and hopping at you from the front, the sides and behind.
The Jeep MKIV+ and the chopper are armed with a pulse cannon, and extra weaponry along with shields turns up here and there. The chopper stays at a fixed altitude above the obstacles, sowing destruction. The jeep, which perhaps looks more like the Yanks' Hummer, has to dodge obstacles, with a realistic turbo as a plus, naturally. In addition, the gun mount on the jeep's roof can be locked to fire in a particular direction, though there are only four of those.
There's plenty of variety among the baddies, from small to big, from choppers to tanks, from flying fish to submarines. The predator chopper familiar from the first game is along too. There are many terrains: snow, desert, sea and airfield. When the credits run out, the heroic duo has to start again from the beginning.
The graphics have been done meticulously, with pretty details added. The drawing pace doesn't seem to slow down even when there's metal moving on screen by the heap. There are enough sounds, starting with the intro music, though the tune gets replaced by explosion effects once the game starts. The big enemies' crunch isn't as booming as in the first Silkworm.
You can't tear yourself away from the game: you have to test whether you could get even further next time.
