1990 SyksyTies kuinka monennen kerran joku megamiljardien arvoinen avaruusasema on joutunut epämääräisten avaruusmöykkyjen haltuun.
Pelialueella on kerättävää vaikka millä mitalla.
Aluksen kyljistä törröttävistä sivuparvissa on enemmän yritystä. Yllättävintä on täydellisen virheetön vieritys, jollaista harvoin näkee ST-pelissä.
Leavin' Teramis on köykäisistä palikoista pinottu peruspeli, josta jää vähän innoton jälkimaku.
1990 SyksyFor who knows which time, some space station worth megabillions has fallen into the hands of vague space blobs. It'd be high time to go through the safety regulations from top to bottom. At least the incident gives you a subject for a game.
Leavin' Teramis is a bit like a vertically scrolling version of Alien Syndrome. Part-time hero Nigel MacGibbons guns a whole host of blob subspecies off to the happy blob grounds, picks up the latest innovations of the killing industry for firepower and, at the end of the level, slices up an imaginative boss blob. No point explaining any further, the genre should be familiar to everyone.
There's stuff to collect in the play area by the bucketload. A small extra is the ship's side galleries, where you'll find more junk as well as the most impressive monsters. Considering the insanely tight time limit, the amount of items and monsters is completely out of proportion. In fact, without extra time you won't even make it to the end of the level even if you run without stopping. Collecting the time icons comes first in order of priority, but then you just can't for the life of you remember where they are.
The hero is a pitifully small and characterless heap of pixels, and steering him feels exactly as if a scrap of paper throwing grains of sand were pattering about the screen. The details of the background graphics are neat, but the whole is a muddle and hasn't got enough outer-space atmosphere. There's more effort in the side galleries jutting out from the ship's flanks. Most surprising is the perfectly flawless scrolling, the like of which you rarely see in an ST game.
Leavin' Teramis is a basic game stacked up out of flimsy building blocks, and it leaves a somewhat listless aftertaste. In its own class it's passable stuff, but it would suit the Commodore 64 better.
