Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1989 KevätFalcon-maailman kuuluisin taistelulentosimulaattori. Onhan tämän mestariteoksen kummatkin MS-DOS-versiot jo esitelty, mutta kun uusi ST-Amiga-versio yksinkertaisesti on niin käsittämättömän hyvä ei vanha simulaattorien ystävä voi vaieta, vaan hänen on pakko kaiuttaa riemuaan maailmalle.
Falconissa on kaikki: jumalattomasti nappuloita, täydellinen realismin tunne, koneiden yhdistäminen RS-piuhalla, nopea ja todella aito grafiikka, erinomaiset äänet, älykkäät viholliset ja niin edespäin ja niin edespäin. Interceptorilla lenneskeille saattaa tosin tulla ikävänä yllätyksenä se, ettei lentely enää sujukaan egoa kohottavalla helppoudella ja MIGit eivät enää ole helppoa ohjusten ruokaa.
Vaikkei Falcon kaikissa ykstyiskohdissaan täysin pärjääkään Interceptorille ei kyseisellä vanhalla mestarilla ole mitään mahdollisuuksia Falconia vastaan. Mitä siitä etteivät laskutelineet taitu näkyviin vaan ilmestyvät yhtäkkiä, kun Falconissa voi ihailla konettaan ulkopuolelta konetykkien heitellessä autosaattueen kuormureita nurinniskoin ja ammusten repiessä kraatereita maantiehen. Mikä vallan ja voiman tunne!
"Mun kone on parempi"-miehille kerrottakoon, että ST-Falcon on huomattavasti nopeampi, mutta Amiga-Falconin äänet ovat omaa luokkaansa. Kun nyt sattuu olemaan kumpikin ja RS-piuha myös, kysymys versioiden paremmuudesta ei jaksa kiinnostaa.
Uuden Falconin ansaitsema esittely veisi pari sivua, joten parempi lopettaa tähän ja vain todeta, että kenelläkään simulaattoreista kiinnostuneilla ei yksinkertaisesti ole varaa jättää Falconia kaupan hyllylle. Falcon on taistelulentosimulaattoreiden ehdoton kuningas. (ainakin kunnes ehdin tutustua kunnolla F-19 Stealth Fighteriin). Jollei sinulla ole Falconia, osta se. Jollei sinulla ole ST:tä tai Amigaa, osta nekin. Se kannattaa.
1989 KevätFalcon - the world's most famous combat flight simulator. Both MS-DOS versions of this masterpiece have already been reviewed, of course, but when the new ST-Amiga version is simply so incomprehensibly good, an old friend of simulators cannot stay silent, but is compelled to let the joy ring out across the world.
Falcon has everything: an ungodly number of buttons, a total sense of realism, linking machines together with an RS cable, fast and truly authentic graphics, excellent sound, intelligent enemies and so on and so forth. Those who have been flitting about in Interceptor may, however, be in for a nasty surprise: the flying no longer goes with ego-boosting ease, and the MIGs are no longer easy missile fodder.
Even though Falcon can't quite match Interceptor in every last detail, the old master in question stands no chance whatsoever against Falcon. So what if the landing gear doesn't fold down into view but just suddenly appears, when in Falcon you can admire your plane from the outside as the cannons toss the trucks of a road convoy head over heels and the shells rip craters in the highway. What a feeling of power and might!
For the "my machine is better" guys, let it be said that the ST Falcon is considerably faster, but the Amiga Falcon's sound is in a class of its own. Since I happen to have both, and the RS cable too, the question of which version is better just can't hold my interest.
The review the new Falcon deserves would take a couple of pages, so better to stop here and just state that anyone interested in simulators simply cannot afford to leave Falcon on the shop shelf. Falcon is the undisputed king of combat flight simulators. (At least until I get round to taking a proper look at F-19 Stealth Fighter.) If you don't have Falcon, buy it. If you don't have an ST or an Amiga, buy those too. It's worth it.
