Battlefront - Corps Level Command in World War II
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. 1989 KevätBattlefront sisältää neljä taistelua: Kreeta 20. - 26. maaliskuuta 1941, Stalingrad 17. - 23. joulukuuta 1942, Saipan 15. - 30. kesäkuuta 1944 ja Bastogne 18. - 26. joulukuuta 1944. Kaikista löytyy riittävä määrä maaston vaihtelua, jota voi käyttää hyväkseen, mutta erityisesti Stalingradin halki kulkevan joen penkereillä ohjelma joutuu koville.
Battlefrontista ei enempää kannata kertoakaan, sillä käytännössä se on muiden SSG-pelien kaltainen. Battlefront kuuluu kuitenkin strategiapelien parhaimmistoon, ja sitä voi hyvin suositella toiseksi strategiapeliksi esimerkiksi Reach for the Starsin jälkeen.
1989 KevätBattlefront contains four battles: Crete 20 - 26 March 1941, Stalingrad 17 - 23 December 1942, Saipan 15 - 30 June 1944 and Bastogne 18 - 26 December 1944. All of them have enough variety of terrain to exploit, but on the banks of the river running through Stalingrad in particular, the program really has its work cut out.
There's no point saying any more about Battlefront, since in practice it's just like the other SSG games. Battlefront is nonetheless among the very best of strategy games, and it can easily be recommended as your second strategy game, after Reach for the Stars, for example.
