1988'Bitman! Luojan kiitos että olet paikalla! Saimme tällaisen Mask II-kasetin...' ' Tulen heti!' 'Mitä se on, Bitman?' 'Mask II.
Juonena on valita oikeat Maskiaiset tehtävään, jonka kone antaa.
'Kiitos Bitman! Säästit satojen Mikro-Bitham Citylaisten Mask-fanien rahat.' 'Mitäpä moisesta, se on vain velvollisuuteni.' (poistuu ryhdikkäästi).
1988'Bitman! Thank heavens you're here! We've received this Mask II tape...' 'I'm on my way!' 'What is it, Bitman?' 'Mask II. It can only be one of Gremlin's schemes!!' 'Holy heck, what do we do?' 'There's only one option: review it!' And so the Dynamic Solo dashes off to his Bitcommodore.
Gremlin pleasantly surprised us with their previous Mask game. It was no mega-hit, of course, but at least it was a properly made game. Now Gremlin intends to bleed more blood from the same vein.
And bleeding really is what it's all about. The idea is to pick the right Maskers for the mission the computer gives you. Rescuing the President and destroying Venom's base are among the items on the list. Then the screen scrolls horizontally in both directions, and the various Mask craft fly about or speed along the surface trying to hit Venom's craft. A pretty hopeless task, since the bullets fly off wherever they please. The different Mask vehicles can be selected with the number keys. On the ground you can find some useful items, for example repair kits.
This isn't a game, this is a swindle. The graphics are nothing to cheer about and the sound is basic effects. Mask II as such is devoid of even the slightest interest and can hardly appeal even to the little person who likes Mask more than anyone else in the world. Not very nicely done of Gremlin.
'Thank you, Bitman! You've saved the money of hundreds of Mask fans in Mikro-Bitham City.' 'Think nothing of it, it's merely my duty.' (exits, ramrod-straight).
