1988Korispeli Imaginelta?
Pelattavuus on hyvä, ukot tottelevat tikkua kiitettävästi, ilman viivyttelyjä. Kaikki komentojen antamiset ovat helposti toteutettavissa tikulla, matsin kiivaassa tuoksinassakin.
Parasta pelissä on kuitenkin uusinta.
Jopa helpoimmalla vaikeusasteella kolmesta, tuottaa hirvittävän vaivannäön, ennenkuin ensimmäinen piste on saatu kasaan.
Kaksinpelinä tämä menettelee, mutta ei koskaan yksinpelattavana. Roskaa, roskaa, roskaa. Ei tätä pelatessa pääse Nirvanaan. Kokeile ennemmin Hat Trickiä (tai Project: Stealth Fighter/Airborne Ranger).
1988A basketball game from Imagine? Something has gone badly wrong somewhere this time, because instead of putting out a lousy shoot-'em-up, Imagine has released a perfectly playable sports game.
The execution is quite passable, though not very special (which you could hardly have expected anyway). The court is crammed onto a single screen, on which two players knock the ball about. The little guys are a nice size, not small but not too big either. And of course, in the background there's a stand seating a crowd as vast as ten or so spectators.
The playability is good; the guys obey the stick admirably, with no delay. All the commands are easy to give with the stick, even in the thick of a heated match.
The best thing in the game, though, is the replay. Every now and then, when the computer reckons a basket is worth replaying, it runs a proper close-up replay. The players grow to about 1.5 times their size, and the area around the basket is shown enlarged. Not bad at all, let it be said. But that's where the good points run out. The crowd's reaction when someone scores is downright ridiculous: they bounce up and down and clap their hands 'clappity-clappity-clap'. Yuck.
But worst of all is the outrageous difficulty against the computer. Even on the easiest of the three difficulty levels, it takes a horrendous amount of effort before you've scraped together your first point.
As a two-player game this passes muster, but never as a one-player one. Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish. Playing this won't get you to Nirvana. Try Hat Trick instead (or Project: Stealth Fighter/Airborne Ranger).
