Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Hobbit oli aikoinaan mahtava menestys ja nyt kun ovat samat tekijät lyöneet viisaat päänsä uudestaan yhteen, niin on tullut suorastaan uskomaton aikaansaannos, peli nimeltä Lord of the Rings.
Pelissä on tavoitteena tuhota Sauronin, kauhean mustan ruhtinaan tekemä sormus, mahtisormus. Tätä tehtävää estävät mm. örkit, peikot, ynnä muut kummajaiset. Kamalimpia ovat kuitenkin mustat ratsastajat, Sauronin hirveät palvelijat.
Neljästä eri henkilöstä saa itse valita, kenen roolissa haluaa olla. Eikä siinä vielä kaikki: käytettävissä on noin 800 eri sanaa, joilla voi puhella toisille olennoille, kysellä niiltä kysymyksiä, vastata itse kysymyksiin. Lisäksi voi tapella, polttaa piippua jne.
Pelin ensimmäinen osa, Fellowships of the Rings, on jaettu kahteen eri kasettiin. Pakkauksessa on yli 500-sivuinen kirja, mikäs muu kuin J.R.R. Tolkienin Lord of the Rings englanniksi. Myös 30-sivuinen ohjevihko on englanniksi. Todella kannattava ostos.
1987Hobbit was a massive success in its day, and now that the same people have put their wise heads together again, the result is nothing short of incredible: a game called Lord of the Rings.
The aim of the game is to destroy the ring made by Sauron, the terrible Dark Lord - the Ring of Power. Standing in the way of this task are orcs, trolls and other assorted oddities. The most dreadful of all, however, are the Black Riders, Sauron's horrible servants.
You get to choose for yourself which of four different characters you want to play. And that's not all: there are around 800 different words at your disposal, which you can use to chat with other beings, ask them questions and answer questions yourself. You can also fight, smoke a pipe and so on.
The first part of the game, Fellowship of the Ring, is split across two separate cassettes. The box contains a book of over 500 pages - what else but J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, in English. The 30-page instruction booklet is in English too. A really worthwhile buy.
