Fairlight

1987Fairlightissa ohjaat ritaria, jonka tehtävänä on löytää 'valon kirja' suuresta linnasta.

1987In Fairlight you control a knight whose task is to find the 'Book of Light' in a large castle. The castle is full of twists and full of rooms, and the task is really not easy at all.

The game controls much like the familiar Alien 8 or Nightshade. That is, sort of diagonally 'three-dimensional'.

The game has several action keys for picking up and dropping objects, opening and closing things and so on. There's a separate button for fighting.

The knight can carry five objects with him, unless one of them is especially heavy. In that case the number of items he can carry goes down. Doors usually only open with keys, of which there are eight in all. So you can't carry every key with you the whole time.

The energy meter along the bottom of the screen shows the man's condition; you get more strength by eating and drinking.

The graphics look fine and neat. Movement is slow, especially if there are several characters in the room. Moving from one screen to the next also causes trouble now and then.

The game is hard and demands a certain amount of cleverness. Not too much, though, so your interest should hold up for a long time.
