Caverns of Sillach

1987Interceptorin Caverns of Sillach on kopio Synapse Softwaren pelistä Fort Apocalypse. Alus, johon robotit kerätään on lentävä lautanen.

Pelin grafiikka on tavanomaista eikä erityisen mieluisaa katseltavaa.

Caverns of Sillachin äänet ovat musiikkia lukuunottamatta kurjat. Peli menettää kiinnostavuutensa melko nopeasti samankaltaisuutensa vuoksi.

1987Interceptor's Caverns of Sillach is a copy of Synapse Software's game Fort Apocalypse. The idea of the game is to collect robots from the surface and from the caves. These robots have to be taken to a base, where they are rescued for good and vanish without so much as a thank-you. The craft the robots are collected in is a flying saucer. The saucer has the peculiar habit of slowly "trickling" downwards if you don't move it anywhere. The enemies in the game are other craft and small flying contraptions. An additional hazard in Caverns of Sillach is the Earth and the Moon, which move back and forth and make getting around harder.

The game's graphics are run-of-the-mill and not especially pleasant to look at. On the plus side there's a good-quality loading screen and scrolling text during loading.

The colour choices in Caverns of Sillach are moderately successful, although some of the colours give too low a contrast and so blur into one another.

Apart from the music, the sound in Caverns of Sillach is miserable. The game plays music during loading and at the start of the game. It also contains a speech synthesiser, which is pretty wretched. The game loses its appeal fairly quickly because of its sameness.
