1988Hercules, Zeuksen poika on kovan paikan edessä.
Tarkasti sanottuna kyseessä on Samurai Trilogy Versio Antiikin Kreikka.
1988Hercules, son of Zeus, is in a tight spot. He has to complete 12 tasks to be forgiven his little sin (he killed his children). Twelve of the most fiendishly difficult tasks, while fighting off other creatures at the same time.
There'd have been the makings of a good game in this subject, but alas: Gremlin had to go and ruin it. Instead of putting together a proper adventure in ancient Greece, the result is a miserable bash-'em-up stew.
Strictly speaking, what we have here is Samurai Trilogy, Ancient Greece Version. Lots of the same moves, just a knobbly club instead of a sword, and otherwise much the same implementation. Everything takes place on one single screen, where Hercules bashes skeletons. The twelve tasks have been ingeniously turned into icons which pop up on the screen every now and then and have to be clobbered with the club. When all twelve icons have been collected the game loads the second part and you get to fight a proper devil.
Stupid. Blah! The passable music is the second-best thing, and the best thing in the whole heap of rubbish is the backgrounds. Otherwise utter rubbish. This wouldn't hold the interest of even a snail.
