Sport 4
Pelit was a Finnish-language (bi)annual book series published from 1987 to 1991 containing gaming-related articles, tips and most importantly game reviews. Here you can find all the reviews from the books. The reviews were originally written in Finnish; the English versions are translations of the Finnish originals.

1987Sport 4 on urheilupelikokoelma, johon kuuluu joukko tuttuja budjettipelejä: jääkiekko, golf, ralli ja muutama veneurheilulaji. Näistä kiinnostavimmat ovat kaksi ensimmäistä. Kovin paljon ei niitäkään voi kehua.
Jääkiekko (vanha Slap Shot) on paras laji. Sitä voi pelata joko yksin tai kaksin, mukana ovat myös kampit ja rangaistukset ja epämääräiseltä rahinalta kuulostavaa puhesynteesiä He scored!- ja Penalty!-huutoineen. Slap Shotia jaksaa pelata kauimmin kokoelman peleistä.
Muihin lajeihin tympääntyy ikävä kyllä melkein heti. Toisten tekijäin paremmat toteutukset ovat valitettavasti hemmotelleet ainakin meikäläisen sen verran piloille, etten voi muuta kuin kehottaa Sport 4:n tekijöitä ottamaan isoisista oppia. Rallissa Epyxiltä (Pitstop II), golfissa Accessilta (Leaderboard Golf) ja veneurheiluissa jälleen Epyxiltä (Summer Games II).
1987Sport 4 is a sports compilation made up of a bunch of familiar budget games: ice hockey, golf, rally and a few boating events. Of these, the first two are the most interesting. Not that there's much to praise in those either.
Ice hockey (the old Slap Shot) is the best event. It can be played either alone or by two players, and it also comes with trips and penalties, plus speech synthesis that sounds like a vague crackle, shouting "He scored!" and "Penalty!". Of all the games in the compilation, Slap Shot is the one you can stand playing the longest.
Sadly, you tire of the other events almost immediately. Better versions by other developers have unfortunately spoiled yours truly, at least, so rotten that I can do nothing but urge the makers of Sport 4 to take a lesson from the big boys. For rally, from Epyx (Pitstop II); for golf, from Access (Leaderboard Golf); and for the boating events, once again from Epyx (Summer Games II).
