1989 SyksyLeisure Suit Larry on tullut takaisin! Taas saa nauraa itsensä melkein hengiltä istuessaan yökolmeen monitorin ääressä. Ja vielä hauskempaa on kun malttaa pistää koneen päälle, sillä Larryn kakkososa on, jos mahdollista, vielä parempi kuin ykkösosa.
Eli lyhyesti: Larry on taas pahemmassa kuin pulassa, sillä tyttöystävä kyllästyi häneen ja heitti miehen ulos talosta. Onhan maailmassa muitakin naisia, minkä tietää Larrykin. Hänellä on siis selvä tavoite: löytää 'Se Oikea'. Etsinnän Larry aloittaa Los Angelesista, mutta pelin aikana hän löytää itsensä mitä ihmeellisimmistä ja hauskemmista paikoista(pelaajan kannalta). Esimerkkinä voisi mainita vaikkapa kaupan Los Angelesissa, jossa Larryn kielitaito tulee hyvin esille onklunkkia ostettaessa. Pelin edetessä Larry hylkää Yhdysvallat ja näkee maailmaa.
Ykköseen verrattuna on grafiikka parantunut, ja kakkos-Larry syö levyjäkin entistä enemmän, mikä tarkoitta laajempaa peliä. Äänipuoli ei ole kehittynyt yhtään, mutta ketäpä tuo haittaa. Kun Larry-pakettiin lisätään vielä hyvä pelattavuus ja loistava huumori (kansikuvasta lähtien), niin tuloksena on yksi parhaista seikkailupeleistä vähään aikaan.
Asia on sanomattakin selvä:jos et ole tosikko, niin mene lähimpään pelikauppaan ja hae itsellesi kunnon naurut! (Ja tosikot ilmeisesti lähimpään rautakauppaan hakemaan kunnon narut -toim.huom.)
1989 SyksyLeisure Suit Larry is back! Once again you get to laugh yourself nearly to death sitting in front of the monitor until three in the morning. And it's even more fun if you can bring yourself to switch the machine on, because the second Larry is, if possible, even better than the first.
So, in brief: Larry is in worse than trouble again, because his girlfriend got fed up with him and threw him out of the house. There are other women in the world, of course, as Larry knows too. So he has a clear goal: to find 'The One'. Larry begins his search in Los Angeles, but during the game he finds himself in the most amazing and funniest places (from the player's point of view). One example worth mentioning is a shop in Los Angeles where Larry's language skills really come to the fore when buying an onklunk. As the game goes on, Larry leaves the United States behind and sees the world.
Compared with the first one, the graphics have improved, and the second Larry eats even more disks than before, which means a bigger game. The sound hasn't developed one bit, but who's bothered about that. When you add good playability and brilliant humour (starting from the cover picture) to the Larry package, the result is one of the best adventure games in a while.
It goes without saying: if you're not a sourpuss, go to your nearest games shop and get yourself a good laugh! (And the sourpusses, presumably, to the nearest hardware shop to get themselves a good length of rope - ed.)
