FULL METAL PLANET FOR HOME COMPUTERS

Full Metal Planet is very very hard to find, partly because the company that produced it (Ludodélire) went bankrupt over ten years ago. To make things worse, even if you manage to find Full Metal Planet, it is very expensive (average price is over 200 euros).

Fortunately there are computer versions for various platforms. As far as I know, the all commercial versions of Full Metal Planet were published by Infogrames. They released Full Metal Planet for at least Apple IIgs, IBM PC, Amiga and Atari ST. I have owned and played only the IBM PC version (which is identical to the Amiga and ST versions). It was very fun to play, altough nothing beats the real thing.

Also, a French website called La Croisée des Jeux has a computer-aided play by email version of Full Metal Planet. The computer program can be freely downloaded from their website (click CyberBoard->Full Metal Planete).

Windows-based FMP game is available by Jean-Marc Leroy. You can get it from his (French) web site.

Another site for playing FMP via mail is fullmetalplanete.free.fr

Once you know the rules, it shouldn't be very difficult to create a web-based multiplayer Full Metal Planet. Maybe I will make such a thing someday ...
